Cheryl Diane Eastlake, 60, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was a daughter of the late John Sherman Eastlake Sr. and Dimple Irene Rogers Eastlake. Born in Heidelberg, Germany on February 23, 1955, she was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Ms. Eastlake was a registered nurse with Palmetto Health Baptist for 38 years where she worked in the neonatal intensive care unit and was a member of the South Carolina Nurses Association. She dedicated her life not only to the care of precious newborns, but she also had a love for animals.

She is survived by her sister, Joy Turner (Scott); niece, Brandi Eastlake; nephews, Forrest and Jonathan Turner. Also surviving is her best friend whom she considered a sister, Phyllis Hoverman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John Sherman Eastlake Jr. and Gary Michael Eastlake.

The service for Ms. Eastlake will be held at 1 o'clock, Tuesday, January 12th at the Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia. The family will receive friends at the graveside prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209.
