Christi Michelle Westbrook Trackwell, 43, of Columbia, died on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Born on December 27, 1977, in Columbia, she was a daughter of Patricia Westbrook Jackson.
She was raised in the home by her grandparents, Hubert, and Doris Westbrook, along with her mother's siblings, Kathy, Peggy, and Hubert Westbrook, Jr., who treated her more like a sibling, than their niece.
Christi was an amazing young woman who was shy until she got to know you. She was the most loving, caring, gentle person, who was known to make people laugh until they cried. Christi loved life and had a huge heart. She would help anyone she encountered and in any way that she could, whether it was by offering someone a ride, a place to stay, a shoulder to cry on, or even the shirt off her back. Christi wanted to make sure those around her were taken care of. Family was extremely important to her, and she made sure they knew how much she loved them. She will be missed by many!
Christi worked in insurance claims and was fortunate to work from home, where she was able to spend more time with her children and grandchildren. She also valued her friends, who she spoke highly of and often. In recent years, she developed a love of motorcycles, a great movie, and a passion for music.
Survivors include her mom; three beautiful children, Daniel S. Westbrook (Myranda), Natalie, and Kordai Ellison; grandchildren, Daniel Westbrook, Jr., Copelyn and Cameron Westbrook; and brother, Woodrow M. Bradshaw, Jr. Christi was preceded in death by her stepdad, Ronald "Ronnie" Jackson; sister, Tracy Westbrook; and her grandparents.
A funeral service will be held 4:30 o'clock, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel with Pastor Rick Shealy officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock. All are welcome to attend, however, masks and social distancing practices will be strongly encouraged. A livestream will be available on Christi's tribute wall at ShivesFuneralHome.com.
"So, rest in peace my dear, we know you are in a better place and one day we shall meet again."
