Christine Lee Williams, 53, of Sumter, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Born April 5, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of Bobby and Charlene Luning.
Chris was the loving wife of Daryl Joseph Williams for 34 years. She was a student of Wai'anae High School and earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing at The University of Alverno College. One of Chris's greatest passions was her career in nursing. She dedicated herself to providing the utmost care for her patients. Her soft, nurturing, and loving soul was always evident in the workplace.
Chris was beautiful, intelligent, creative, and always striving to better herself. She enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading, and running in her free time. She shared a love of motorcycles with her husband, and they enjoyed riding together. Her greatest love in life was being a dedicated mother to her 5 children. Chris will be remembered as a strong, fearless woman, who lived life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by daughters, Patrice Lee Romich (Kyle); Alexis Lee Williams; and Cristen Lee Williams; sons, Mason Joseph Williams and Colton Joseph Williams; granddaughter, Natalie Mae Bieldfeld; sisters, Bernadette Fernandez, Sparky Luning, and Noah Luning; along with many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother, Jake Luning, and her biological father, John Fernandez.
The funeral service for Mrs. Williams will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday, June 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, SC 29223. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
