Christopher (Chris) Lawrence Amick passed peacefully in his sleep into the arms of the Lord on February 13, 2022. Born on December 14, 1971, in Memphis, TN, Chris grew up in Matthews, NC. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lind Morris Amick. Chris leaves behind his two precious children, Grace Barnett Amick and John Lawrence Amick.

Chris is survived by his mother, Judy Jarrett Amick of Matthews, NC; his father and stepmother, Mike and Stephanie Amick of Charlotte, NC; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Valerie Amick and their daughter Hadley of Cornelius, NC; Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda Allen and cousins Zachary and Patrick of Wytheville, VA; cousin Rodney Amick and his children Haven and Brody of Burlington, NC, and special Aunt Linda Hall of Charlotte, NC. Chris will also be dearly missed by his in-laws, W.D. and Kay Morris of Columbia, SC; W.D. and Blair Morris, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Kent and Annabet Smith of Charlotte, NC; Adam and Tricia Yount of Charleston, SC, and his nieces and nephews, William, Henry, Porter, Elizabeth, Kate, and Arizona.

Chris graduated from Sun Valley High School, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and Wake Forest University School of Business for his MBA. He was employed by Wells Fargo.

Visitation with the family and an informal memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home located at 3700 Forest Lawn Dr. Matthews, NC. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery, located in Columbia, SC, will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Visitation will be held afterwards at the Morris Home, 215 Spring Lake Road, Columbia, SC.
