Clarence Lloyd Geiger, 68, of Camden, died Sunday, August 23, 2015. Born in Columbia on March 19, 1947, he was a son of the late Clarence E. Geiger and Minnie Cribb Geiger. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Lloyd was loved by all who knew him. He had a larger than life sense of humor, and never met a stranger. Lloyd loved the outdoors, and was a man of integrity and great faith. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Lugoff.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Cooper Geiger of Camden; daughters, Ashley Geiger-Eig (Joshua) of Bethesda, MD, Amy Geiger-Harrelson (Joseph) of Charleston; grandchildren, Adam Geiger and Jackson Harrelson; sister, Celia Easler (Frank) of Blythewood; brothers, Vic Geiger (Elizabeth) of Columbia and Tim Geiger of Charlotte, NC; brothers-in-law, Donald LaMoy of Camden and William Hutto of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Jonni Vincent (Alan) and Jan Daniels (Joey); mother-in-law, Willie Cooper of Columbia; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by sisters, Maxine LaMoy and Annette Hutto; father-in-law, Jack Brooks Cooper; and sister-in-law, Jackie Hyslop.
A service for Mr. Geiger will be held 5 o'clock, Friday evening, August 28th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd, Columbia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
