Claude Durham Hook, 83, of Lexington died Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Born in West Columbia on August 31, 1932 he was a son of the late Truman and Thelma Carson Hook.

Claude is survived by his children, Durham Hook, Cayce, Diane Rosenbeck, Cayce, Claude T. Hook, Red Bank, Mark Hook, Columbia; and his sister, Vanetta Dorn, Pelion. He also has seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Mae Peeples Hook; a son, James Michael Hook; and sisters, Miriam Cook, and Lib Collum.

A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, December 27th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with The Rev. Ray Boone officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. The committal service with military honors will be 3:30 o'clock at State Full Gospel Church Cemetery, 200 State Pond Road, Gaston, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
