Mr. Clifton Preston Harrison, 79, of Chapin, died Saturday, October 4, 2014. Born September 24, 1935, in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Horace Clifton Harrison and Roberta Hinton Harrison.

Mr. Harrison worked in heating and air throughout his life, and was employed with Shannon Heating and Air for 10 years. Most recently, he worked with Edenfield Heating and Air until his retirement. Preston enjoyed creating and painting birdhouses as well as working in the yard. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Sandra N. Harrison; sons, Ricky Lee Harrison, Clay Allison Harrison (Kim), Mark Thomas Harrison (Christy), Preston Brett Harrison (Melissa), Larry James Richardson, Jr. (Heidi); daughters, Nancy Harrison Ouzts (Chris), Verna Lynn Lee (Jerry); twenty grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Yvonne Harrison; a grandchild, Christopher Lee Harrison; and a brother, Thomas I. "T" Harrison.

A memorial service for Preston will be held at 10:30 o'clock, Thursday, October 9th, at New Life Community Church, 10809 Broad River Rd., Irmo, SC, with Pastor Ray Hewitt officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
