Connie Wilson Walker, 73, of Columbia died October 8, 2017. Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, on December 26, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Murray Jackson and Ethlyn Huff Wilson. Connie was a Phlebotomist at Richland Memorial Hospital for 21 years and later worked for Lab Corp from which she retired.

Survivors include her children, Polly Wilson Richardson (Art), Barbara Walker McManus (Donald), Murry Jackson "Jack" Walker and Marie Walker Roscoe (Sean), Tiffany Green Walker; 13 grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Durkin, Joseph Huff Walker, Ashley Marie Jeffcoat, Courtney Marie Kenyon , Anna Leigh DeFusco, Allie Kathleen Richardson, Jacob Adam Roscoe, Ethan Claude Richardson, Carolyna Joye Roscoe, Paula Estridge McManus, Wayne McManus, Ellen McManus, and Dylan Clontz; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Wilson Browder. In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Inez Walker

The memorial service for Mrs. Walker will be held 3 o'clock, Wednesday, October 11th, at Calvary Baptist Church, 500 S. Kilbourne Road, Columbia. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Members of the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class are invited to serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment in Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to The Finley House 2100 Blossom St. Columbia, SC 29205. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
