Corene C. McCain, 86, of Columbia, died Saturday, October 13, 2018. A daughter of the late Patrick Henry Collins and Mattie Jane Lewis, she was married for 65 years to Marshall E. McCain. Corene was a loving wife and mother, and to know her was to love her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Marsha Jones (Jimmy), Missy Skipper (Rusty); six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

The funeral service for Mrs. McCain will be held 1 o'clock, Tuesday, October 16th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow the service in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock.
