Corrie Fulmer Hood, 93, of Blythewood, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Born in Richland Co, on September 17, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert and Janie Burdell Fulmer. She was a member of Killian Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Tally E. Hood, Jr. (Peggy) of Blythewood, Lester S. Hood (Cindy) of Elgin; daughter, Edwina H. Gardner (Jerry) of Elgin; daughter-in-law, Gerri Hood of Blythewood; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Corrie was preceded in death by her husband, Tallie Edward Hood, Sr. and son, Wilbert "Glenn" Hood.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hood will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, October 12th, with the Rev. Richard Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Former members of the King's Daughters and current members of the Golden Rule Sunday School Classes are invited to serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock, and at other times at the home of Gerri Hood.
