Cynthia Marie Colbert, 80, of Columbia, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born July 29, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Bradley and Valentine Robin-Meilleur.
Prior to her retirement, Cynthia was employed with Pan American Airlines for 24 years as a customer service work-leader. She loved to travel internationally, was a novice artist who enjoyed painting, drawing, and crocheting. She had a deep appreciation for Japanese art, including pottery, sculptures, paintings, and calligraphy. Cynthia was a devoted mother, devout Christian, and cared deeply for her family. Her greatest riches in life were the blessings of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They will deeply miss her guidance, wisdom, and nurturing spirit.
Survivors include her sons, Warren Jeffrey Harper Sr. (Venessa) and Eric Harper Sr. (Michelle); daughter-in-law, Jacqueline (Jonathan); grandchildren, Warren Jr., Candace, Christian-Renae, Christian-Michelle, Jacob, Eric Jr., Jadon, Jonathan, Anthony, and Jenna; great grandchildren, Jordan, Cory, Aaron, Joy, Kamrin, Kai, Hayvin, Caleb, and Aunalynn; as well as her siblings, Robert P. Meilleur and Rhonda P. Thornburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Paul Harper Jr.; brother, Raymond; and sisters, Adele and Dolores.
The memorial service for Ms. Colbert will be held privately. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
