Dakotah Troupe Turner, 28, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 10, 1995, he was a son of Joseph Gary Turner and Suzanne Davis Nettles.
Dakotah graduated from Richland Northeast High School and pursued a career in the culinary industry. He was the beloved sous chef at Kingsman Restaurant in Cayce, SC., where the staff quickly became like family to him. Family meant everything to Dakotah, he loved with all his heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He took great pride in being a father to his three children and spending quality time with them. Dakotah enjoyed gaming and hanging out with his close friends. He was loved by many and left such an impact on those around him.
Survivors include his parents, Suzanne Davis Nettles (Lance) and Joseph Gary Turner (Stephanie); children, Holden Turner, Ariel Turner, and Easton Turner; siblings, Zachary Turner (Abby) and Tyler Turner; grandparents, Henry and Carolyn Davis, Glenn and Linda Jeffcoat; aunt and uncle, Jim and Melinda Rykbost; as well as many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Dakotah will be held at 2 o'clock on Monday, March 25th, at River District Church, 400 State Street West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
