Dana Lavaughn Chandler, 70, of West Columbia, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Born on December 21, 1953, in Salem, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Hazel Nickerson and the late Tillman Alan Plunkett.
Dana truly had a zest for life, finding joy in the everyday moments that many might overlook. Her dedication to raising her children and cherishing time with her grandchildren spoke volumes about her nurturing heart. Crocheting during her quiet moments not only showcased her creativity but also her love for creating something beautiful and comforting. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, and her memory will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Chandler (Alice) of Lexington, and Sean Chandler of West Columbia; two sisters, Donna Stanfield, and Marsha Ring; three brothers, Rick Plunkett, Buster Plunkett, and Steve Plunkett; and ten grandchildren, Courtney Roth, Taylor Chandler, Dakota Chandler, Krista Chandler, Kylee Chandler, Skylar Chandler, Elizabeth Chandler, Cody Chandler, Hunter Chandler, and Jaxson Chandler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Clayton.
