David Marvin Gibbs

David Marvin Gibbs, 46, of Lugoff, died on September 19, 2026. Born on September 24, 1979, in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Leland Gibbs and Pamela Harris.

David had many interests and passions in life, but none could compare to serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved to preach and share his faith with others. One of his great joys was seeing others surrender their lives to Jesus. May 23, 2010, will always be a significant day in David’s life as that is when he celebrated his spiritual birthday.

Some of the other things he enjoyed in life include airbrushing and singing. He spent much of his time starting and running his business, Moose’s Pest Control. A business he took great pride in owning.

In addition to his dad, David was preceded in death by a child; grandparents, Cecil and Iris Bayne; and sister, Amanda Janelle Gibbs.

David is survived by his wife, Danielle; mom, Pamela Harris; stepfather, Martin Harris; brother, Christopher Bayne (Amanda); mother-in-law, Mary Williams (Aubrey Williams Jr.); father-in-law, Donald Moore; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
