David Charles Hill, 80, of Columbia, died on Monday, July 29, 2024, just 16 days after the death of his beloved wife, Margaret Reynolds Hill. He was born in Taunton, MA, on December 11, 1943, and was a son of the late Ralph E. and Hazel White Hill. Mr. Hill worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service for many years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he also served as Treasurer for many years.

Survivors include his sister, Elaine Quigley; nieces, Cindy Thompson and Barbara Agee; brother-in-law, Jack Reynolds (Debbie) along with Jack's family, Patrick Reynolds (Emily), Walter and Fiona Reynolds.

The funeral service for Mr. Hill will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, August 7th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3909 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC 29204. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 12 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
