Obituary

Mr. David Frampton McComb, 63, of Columbia, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Born September 3, 1951 in Leesburg, FL, he was a son of the late George Leander McComb and Virginia Fell McComb.

The youngest of five children, David attended Leesburg High School where he was voted most athletic. He played basketball at Kent State and attended Florida State University before earning a bachelors from Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University). David was a Master Gardener and an eclectic lover of music; he had many talents and enjoyed working with his hands. For many years, he owned Carolina Hues, Inc. - Painting. David attended Shandon Baptist Church, and he dedicated his life to acting justly, loving mercifully, and walking humbly with God.

Survivors include his children, Leah (Nick) Redmond of Chapin, Keely (Brad) McCoy of Columbia, Seth McComb of Raleigh, NC, Virginia (Giti) Khalsa of Orlando, Mercy (James) Clonts of Chapin, Janna (Jeremy) Butrous of Los Angeles, CA; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lee Dunstan of Tavares, FL, Joe (Brenda) McComb of Tuscaloosa, AL, Peter (Joyce) McComb of Fruitland Park, FL, John (Linda) McComb of Jonesville, NC; as well as his very beloved girlfriend of many years, Sarah "Deedi" Faulks of Columbia.

A service to celebrate the life of David Frampton McComb will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, October 4th, at Chapin Baptist Church, 950 Old Lexington Hwy, Chapin, SC. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Chapin Baptist Church.
