David Robert "Bobby" Dove, III, 69, of Columbia, died peacefully at home Saturday, February 13, 2016. Born in Columbia on September 2, 1946, he was the son of the late David R. Dove, Jr., and Alma Glisson Dove. A member of North Trenholm Baptist Church, he loved Jesus and his family. Bobby was a Mason, Boy Scout Leader, and was retired from law enforcement. He never met a stranger. He was always happy to lend a helping hand, loved to grill and go fishing and was a loving husband.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Hunnicutt Dove; sons, Britt (Traci) Dove, Ashley (Michele) Dove; grandchildren, Courtney, Abby and Tucker Dove.

A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, February 17th at North Trenholm Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
