David C. Turner, 71, of Columbia passed away, January 15, 2013. He was born January 2, 1942 in Chavis Town, SC. He was the son of the late W. Howard and Elsie Q. Turner. He was the former President of Turner Paving Co.

Surviving are his son, David C. Turner, of Atlanta, GA.; sister, Brenda T. Crider (Charles) Yelton of Columbia; brother, Earl Quick of Chapin; niece, Charlene Crider; nephew, Jeremy Quick; great-nephews, Jon Crider, Daniel Pruitt, Zack Pruitt, Josh Crider; great nieces, Kim Quick, Vicki Beason, Kailey Konemann; as well as great-great niece & nephew, Bryson and Mileena Pruitt.

A memorial service for Mr. Turner will be held at 2 o'clock on Monday January 21, 2013, at 725 Fore Ave. Columbia. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at noon. Shives Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family would like to thank UPAC on Forest Dr., The Ole Place, and Darrell's for their love and support.
