Debra "Debbie" Price Mills, 69, of Columbia, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on February 29, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Colon Wayne and Sarah Ann Fetner Price.
Mrs. Mills was a lifelong Columbia resident and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She spent her life serving students as a Child Development Teacher's Assistant.
She was a devoted member of the Carolina AMC Car Club, proudly serving as Secretary and Treasurer. A true enthusiast, she cherished attending car shows with her beloved husband, celebrating the beauty of classic cars and the lasting friendships they inspired. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and their love for her will live on in their memories and stories. She once loved painting shirts, adding her creative flair to wearable art. Leisure moments often found her by the pool or at the lake, happily immersed in a romance novel or casting a line in hopes of reeling in the big one. She had a special way with children—reading with them, sharing stories, and bringing joy through arts and crafts. Her kitchen was always full of love, where she cooked enough to feed an army and found joy in gathering family and friends under one roof.
Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Mills; sons, Dewaine Vickers (fiancé Rhonda Rankin) and Dusty Vickers (Jessica); daughter, Sherri Rollison (Steven); grandchildren, Robert Vickers, Sarah Vickers, Rylee Ann Vickers, Wyatt Joseph Vickers, Steven Rollison, Jr., Stephanie Rollison and Serenity Rollison; brother, C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 Sunday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
