Delia Mendoza Mandanas, 79, of Columbia, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Born in Camarines Sur, Philippines on July 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Nena Gesmundo and the late Dalmacio Mendoza. Delia was a founding member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Delia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Samuel C. Mandanas; a daughter, Denise M. Mandanas of Columbia; a son, Ken M. Mandanas of Bronxville, New York; and her three grandchildren, Emma, Ben, and Sam, who lovingly called her Lola.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mandanas will be celebrated at 10 o'clock, Friday, June 17th, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Final commendation and farewell prayers will be said at 1 o'clock at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Thursday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, with the Rosary recited at 6 o'clock.
