Dennis Allen Fields, 66, of Lake Wateree, died Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was born on July 17, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Alfred and Helen Begley Fields. Mr. Fields was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Blythewood was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed immensely.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Bayes Fields; children, Shawn Fields (Dea), Sara Simpson (Jay), and Emily Paterson (Brandon); and grandchildren, Zachary Fields, Benjamin Simpson, William Simpson, Jack Simpson, Oliver Paterson and Anna Paterson. Also surviving are his Aunt Lucy and Uncle Carl Martin along with several cousins. Mr. Fields is preceded in death by his parents.
The service for Mr. Fields will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday, January 13th at Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Boney Road, Blythewood with Chaplain Clyde Scott and the Rev. Kathy Griffin officiating. A reception will follow. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
