Desiree Martin, 69, of Columbia, died Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born June 30, 1945 in Baltimore, MD she was a daughter of the late Odgen C. and Carrie Depriest Criss. A member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Desiree loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, David Martin; daughters, Tina (John) Pate of Gaston, Tammy (William) Gregory of West Columbia; stepdaughter, Stephanie Cannon-Roe of Lugoff; stepson, David (Pam) Martin, Jr. of Cassatt; brothers, Charles (Sandy) Criss, Gale (Kelley) Criss all of Maryland, David Criss of Columbia; grandchildren; Erica, Christopher, Chasiti, Krystal, Trae, Michael, David, Summer, Willow; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Desiree was preceded in death by brothers, Terry, Odgen, Jr. and Carl Criss.

The funeral service for Mrs. Martin will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, April 12th, at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with The Rev. Paul Miles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Saturday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia.
