Mrs. Diana Lynn Smith, 70, of Columbia, died on February 11, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Virginia Faye Thompson Thomen and the late William Robert Thomen.
Diana was one of the sweetest, kindest people you'd every meet. She loved her family and everyone knew it. She was also a very tough woman in all the positive ways. She worked hard as a mother and then later in the workforce. She loved her job at Toys 'R Us, where she worked for almost 20 years before they closed.
There were many things that brought Diana happiness. She loved going to Camp Sychar in Ohio every single year. She loved building LEGO kits, including some with over 6000 pieces. She loved playing handbells, and even started a new bell choir at her church in AR. She loved Downton Abbey, Veggie Tales, Hallmark Christmas movies and later, Storage Wars. She really loved the Lord of the Rings, the books, movies and anything else she could find.
Diana was active in her churches. She served in children's ministries, visitation programs, kitchen committees and even did a stint in a security team. Everyone loved her and loved being around her. She was truly one of a kind and she will be greatly missed by all.
