Dianne D. Clark, 84 of Columbia, went home to be by her Lord's side on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Born in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England, on February 24, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Mr. Sydney and Mrs. Doris Adcock (Oswin). Mrs. Clark was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church for over 30 years. She truly felt Columbia and Forest Acres were her home.
Mrs. Clark was a devoted wife to Bill Clark for 43 years. She felt her greatest accomplishment was being Mellissa's Mum. Before moving to Columbia she worked as a librarian in Cape Kennedy (Canaveral) where she met Bill. She also owned/operated a Vintage Clothing Store in Downtown Ybor City in Tampa, Florida. She was a practical joker, fashionista and prolific artist. She had a life-long dedication to assisting others through her involvement in numerous self-help/support groups in the Columbia area.
Survivors include her husband, William (Bill) D. Clark; daughter Mellissa Dianne (Clark) Welch (Marcus). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Don; and sisters, Violet, Iris and Sylvia.
The services for Mrs. Clark will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, January 21st, at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends and have finger foods/refreshments following the service in the Family Life Center of the Church. Burial in the church cemetery will be private. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
