Donald Joe Bennett, 62, of Columbia, has passed away. Born November 7, 1953 in Charleston, he was a son of Furman Raines and the late Reesie Mae Linton Raines. He was a stained glass artisan, a musician and a man of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, he is survived by sisters, Shirley Bennett, and Janice Padgett (Tommy); brothers, Kenny Raines, and Jimmy Raines; niece, Melissa Booth (Jamie); nephews, Jeff Harrell (Andrea), Phil Padgett (Allison); as well as several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Bennett is preceded in death by his mother; sister, Wanda Bennett and a brother, Gene Raines.

A service will be held 3 o'clock, Monday, November 30th at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with The Rev. Doug Benton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
