Donald L. Daniels, 73, of Eastover, SC died March 27, 2018. He was the seventh of nine children born to Troy C. and Addie Stephens Daniels. Born in Scranton, SC he spent his early years near Lake City, then moved to Columbia.

Mr. Daniels was a veteran of the US Army, and proud of his service. Mr. Daniels made a career in the automotive-parts business in and around Columbia, and was well regarded at both the dealer and aftermarket levels. Retiring in 2008, he was able to enjoy many years doing what he liked most. He lived to fish, and he loved spending special time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his son Brian Daniels; daughter-in-law, Debbie Daniels; and beloved grandchildren, Caroline and Addie Daniels, all of West Columbia. He is also survived by a brother, Steve Daniels of Columbia; and a sister, Brooksie Bowen of Hartsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa M. Daniels.

A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, March 30th at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Daniels was active in his granddaughter's treatment and survival of Leukemia, always there for her when she seemed to need him most. In lieu of flowers please make an in-kind donation to "Camp Kemo", at Palmetto Health-Children's Hospital in Columbia.
