Mr. Donald G. McGinnis, 71, of Columbia, died Sunday, October 13, 2013. Born July 22, 1942 in Rock Hill, SC, he was a longtime member of Killian Baptist Church. Mr. McGinnis greatly enjoyed acting. As a hobby, he worked at Workshop Theater, and he even played a small role in the movie, "Simple Justice". Donald loved Gamecock Athletics and will be remembered for the many hats that he wore.

Survivors include his wife, Judy McGinnis; son, Jason McGinnis; granddaughter, Amber McGinnis; and his beloved pets, Sugar and Shadow. He was preceded in death by his son, Jim Yarborough.

A memorial service for Mr. McGinnis will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, October 17th, at Killian Baptist Church with The Rev. Richard A. Humphries officiating.
