Donald L. Rabon, 77, of Blythewood, died Sunday, September 18, 2016. Born to John Lee and Isabel Barfield Rabon, he was married to Geraldine "Gerri" Rabon for 56 years. A member of Killian Baptist Church, Mr. Rabon was involved in the Golden Rule Sunday School Class, and Young at Heart fellowship. He served as Training Union Director, several terms as a deacon and on other church committees. Mr. Rabon was retired from Ben Arnold Sunbelt Beverage Company as the Receiving Manager. He enjoyed western square dancing, camping and was a member of CAPS (Christian Adult Programs).

In addition to his wife, Mr. Rabon is survived by his children, Richard D. Rabon of Atlanta, Donna R. Snipes (Rodney) of Blythewood, Steve R. Rabon (Lynn) of Blythewood, Robert C. Rabon (Pattie) of Blythewood; grandchildren, Corey and Andrew Snipes, Jacob and Justin Rabon, Sabrina and Courtney Rabon; sister, Carolyn R. Henderson (Charles); brother, Clifton "Pete" Rabon (Anne); brother-in-law, Jeff Fuller. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Brenda R. Fuller.

The service will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, September 22nd, at Killian Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard A. Humphries and Rev. Dr. E. Benjamin Newman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 until 8 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
