Obituary

Donna Y. Johnson, 61, of Oldfort, TN, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Born in Quitman, MS on September 24, 1952, she was a daughter of Mary Frances Menasco Young and the late J.P. Young. Donna and her family moved to Columbia in 1961, and she later graduated from Eau Claire High School. In 1999, Donna and her husband, Larry T. Johnson moved to Oldfort, TN, in order to be nearer their family.

In addition to her mother and her husband, Donna is survived by her daughter, Amanda Nichole Quinn (Robert); sons, Jacob F. Johnson, Jesse Phillips Johnson, and David-Paul Thomas Johnson (Amanda); grandchildren, Amanda Joy Kyzer, Ashleigh Pearl Wilson, Jacob Dakota Young Johnson, Hailee Ruth Wilson, Trevor McKenzie Johnson, Madison Nychole Wilson, Zachary Allen Johnson, David-Paul Johnson II, Jordan Dean Johnson, and Briana Kyndall Young Johnson; and sisters, Shirley Ann Brazell, and Laura Lee Wright. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Young.

The funeral service for Mrs. Johnson will be held 2:30 o'clock, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with entombment to follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Friday evening, at the funeral home.
