Donna Hodgens Spearman, 72, of Columbia, died on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, on March 15, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Marion E. Hodgens and Virginia R. Brown. Affectionately known as GrandDonna to her grandchildren, she doted over her family and loved spending time with them. She was the Secretary for many years at Harmony Baptist Church and formerly at the Township Auditorium. She was an active member of Sandy Level Baptist Church. Her free time was spent serving at her church, scrapbooking, playing Bingo, playing Canasta, reading, and watching Marvel action movies.

Survivors include her daughter, Adrian C. Richardson (Bertram T. Richardson III); grandchildren, Sydnee T. Richardson and Leighton S. Richardson; son, Marion Spearman (Rebecca), of Braselton, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Foyle (Mike) Spearman and her beloved pets, MacGregor and Stockings.

The service for Mrs. Spearman will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, March 8th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1 o'clock.
