A beloved sister, Doreen Ann Price, 59, of Columbia, left this earth to be with the Lord on July 19, 2016, after a long, 16-year battle with cancer. Born in Portland, OR on September 8, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Norman Merill Price and Erika Anna Becker Price. Doreen worked at Colonial Life for 41 years and was employed, part-time, for several years at JB White's and Belk. She was a very dedicated and hard worker, and will be missed by the many friends she made at those companies. They all loved her smile and her contagious laughter. Doreen cherished her family time, especially when it involved her nephews and nieces; and although she never had any biological children, she was called "Aunt Doreen" by many who loved her.

Survivors include her sisters, Deborah Bushee, and Denise Price Mitchum (Robert) all of Columbia; brothers, Curtis Price of Langley, WA, and Miles Price (Diane) of San Jose, CA; nephews, Sean Bushee, Justin Mitchum, Jarrod Mitchum, and Evan Price; nieces, Rachel O'Brien, Brittany Bushee, Crystal Wilson, and Alannah Price; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service for Ms. Price will be held 12 o'clock, Saturday July 30th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia with The Rev. Tony Myers officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11 o'clock.
