Doris M. Bowlin, 83, of Columbia, died Saturday, August 11, 2018. Born September 20, 1934 in Rockingham County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Lilly Mae Gilley Prevette. Doris retired from the restaurant industry after many years of service.

Survivors include her son, Randy Bowlin (Sandy); daughter, Carmen Bowlin; grandchildren, Tara McCoy (Jason), Elizabeth Harvey (Brian), Jackson Bowlin; great-grandchildren, Landon, Copeland, Gracelyn; a sister, Evon Prevette. In adition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Bowlin; four brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held 1o'clock, Friday, August 17th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
