Mrs. Doris Louise Geiss's Obituary
Doris Louise Southard Geiss, 86, widow of George W. Geiss, died Friday, October 5, 2012, in Columbia SC. Born on March 14, 1926, in Newbern, NC, she was a daughter of the late Jay Southard and Annie Lee Blue Southard.
While in St. Louis, MO, she was employed at Civil Service at the Recorder Center for a number of years. She was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her nephew, Douglas (Judy) Fabel of Winnsboro, SC; and nieces, Jean (Sam) Riddle of Sumter, SC, and Judy Southard of Mt. Pleasant, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister; and nieces, Lelia Sabiston, and Janis Hoverman.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Zion Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to a charity's of one's choice.
