Dorothy D. Barker, 91, of Peak, SC died Friday, September 6, 2013. Born July 20, 1922, in Peak, SC, she was a daughter of the late Archie Dailey and Murl Stoudemire Dailey. Mrs. Barker loved working with flowers and gardening, as well as listening to Gospel music.

Survivors include her niece Sandra (Carroll) Stoudemire of Blythewood. Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Barker and her two sisters, Kathleen Shealy and Drucilla Shealy.

A private graveside service for Mrs. Barker will be held Monday, September 9th. The family wishes to thank Blue Ridge Hospice, Thomesina Fjellhaug, her caregiver, Dr. Carroll Pinner, and friend, Phillip Reddick for all the love and care given to Mrs. Barker. The family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, PO Box 9, Peak, SC 29122.
