Dorothy Janene Dennis Enevoldsen, 58, of Elgin, died May 26, 2013. Born in Columbia, on June 1, 1954, she was a daughter of the late James Leslie Dennis, Jr. and Dorothy Miles Dennis. Janene was a librarian with the Richland Co. Public Library, and a member of Radiant Life Church.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Gerald Enevoldsen; sons, Gerald (Jennifer) Enevoldsen of Wake Forest, NC, Dennis (Carol Lee) Enevoldsen of Elgin; daughter, Leslie (David) Burgess of Elgin; five beloved grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jordan, Shirley, Annie, Joshua; brothers, Richard (Rhonda) Dennis of Blythewood and Robert (Elaine) Dennis of Columbia. In addition to her parents, Janene was preceded in death by an infant son; and her brother, Jimmy Dennis.
The funeral service for Mrs. Enevoldsen will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, May 30th, at Radiant Life Church, 1010 Old Two Notch Rd, Elgin, with The Rev. Bob Moore and The Rev. Peter Shoars officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Wednesday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia.
