Dorothy "Dot" Ivey Shealy, 68, Blythewood, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Born December 12, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Doctor Marvin and Louise A. Judy Ivey. Dot was a cosmetologist for many years, working at Midlands Tech. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, G. Richard "Rick" Shealy, Jr. and Michael Todd Shealy; grandsons, Colton Richard Shealy, William Blake Byerly Hall, James Riley O'Quinn, Michael Westin Shealy; her brother, Marvin Earl Ivey (Dianne); sisters, Jean Fairey and Jessie Haltiwanger (John); loving cousin, Ann Price; and her special angel, Glenda P. Goings; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Richard "Dick" Shealy; her son, Brian Scott Shealy; brothers, Leon and Knowlton Cornelius; and her sister, Pearl Cornelius.

The memorial service for Mrs. Shealy will be held 5 o'clock, Friday, January 2, 2015, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia. The eulogy will be given by Bill Price. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 4 o'clock.
