Dorothy Idella Flug's Obituary
Dorothy Idella Flug, 91, of Columbia, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Born March 19, 1926 in Maple Crest, NY, she was a daughter of the late Vernon H. and Alice. Lewis VanValkenburgh.
Mrs. Flug is survived by her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" VanGelder; and grandchildren, Jennifer Weishaar, Stacy Capeleris, Jacqueline VanGelder and Donnie Flug; great-grandchildren, Devin and Kaylee Weishaar, Oliva Capeleris, and Baby Boy Capeleris on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Joseph Flug; sons, Warren H. Flug and Donald R. Flug; and granddaughter, Kimberly Flug.
A graveside service will be held 1 o'clock, Monday, November 6th at Florence National Cemetery, 803 E. National Cemetery Road, Florence. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
