Dorothy A. Fronczek, 76, of Columbia, died Monday, October 30, 2017. Born October 19, 1941, in Queens, New York, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Rawlings and Dorothy Smith.
A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at her children's schools. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, traveling, playing piano, dancing, and reading. Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, John Anthony Fronczek; sons, John D. Fronczek (Rita), Stephen J. Fronczek (Julia), and Jeffery P. Fronczek (Sheryl); daughters, Christine M. Fronczek, Cheryl L. Fronczek, Denise L. Bush (Mark), and Jennifer L. Martin (Brian); grandchildren, Matthew, Drew, Brett, Stephen, Justin, Nathan, Austin, Kylie, Jason, Ashlyn, Anna, Cecilia, and Charlotte; and great grandchildren, Milina, McKenna, Nolan, and Ashlyn. Also surviving is her sister, Marjorie Rawlings Kacik. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Rawlings.
The funeral service for Mrs. Fronczek will be held 10 o'clock, Friday, November 3rd, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Boney Rd., Blythewood, with Pastor Clyde Scott officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 9 o'clock in the church fellowship hall. Interment will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
