Dorothy Mae Philbeck Harris, 90, of Columbia, died November 11, 2018. Born on September 10, 1928, in Shelby, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Dorcas Stockton Philbeck. Mrs. Harris was employed for 33 years as an instrument technician with Providence Health and was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church.

Survivors include her niece, Shirley Freeman; and her nephew, David Freeman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Harris; and 11 siblings.

A funeral service for Mrs. Harris will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, November 16th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, with Reverend James A. Goudelock officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 o'clock.
Burial will be private at Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro, North Carolina
