Dorothy Bullard Jolly, lovingly known as "Mother or Mama Dot", 90, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Born November 22, 1924 in Columbus County, NC, she was a daughter of the late David Julius Bullard and Hattie Nance Bullard. Dorothy grew up in Columbus County, NC. Widow of the late Robert E.L. "Bob" Jolly She spent most of her life in the Columbia area and eventually moved to Conway where she was a member of Bethany Bible Church. Eventually she returned to Columbia to be close to her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie Knight-Sweat (Elbert "PeeWee") of Columbia; Nancy Norris (Willard) of Whiteville, NC: a son, Robert E. Lee "Buddy" Jolly Jr. (Lecia), of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Nicole Hollenbaugh (Brian) of Ladson, SC, Lauren Stewart (Austin) of Acworth, GA; Grace Jolly of Marietta, GA; great-granddaughters, Cayce and Annabelle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David J. Bullard, Jr.; and sister, Betty Jean Norris.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock, Saturday, July 25th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia with a Memorial Service to immediately follow with Pastor David Rickert officiating.

Her final resting place will be beside her loving husband at Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway, SC. Memorials may be made to Bethany Bible Church, 1668 4 Mile Road, Conway, SC 29526.
