Dorothy Danner Love, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the age of 88. Dorothy was born on July 25, 1932 to the late Avra and Robert Danner.

She is survived by her children, Ben Plexico (Carol) of Columbia, Dottie Love (Bhasker) of Lexington, and John Love of Columbia; siblings, Annette Patterson (Paul) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ronnie Danner (Lynette) of Spartanburg.

Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Fairforest High School where she was Valedictorian. She spent most of her adult life in Columbia where she ran the company she started and raised her family. In prior years, Dorothy enjoyed teaching children's Sunday School at Shandon Baptist Church where she was an active member for many years. She was a caring and vivacious spirit who never met a stranger and will be missed by all, including her three beloved kitties.

The graveside service for Ms. Love will be held on Tuesday, June 1st, at 10 o'clock, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia, SC 29209. Memorials may be made to PETSinc, 300 Orchard Dr., West Columbia, SC 29170; or a charity of one's choice. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
