Dorothy B. Smith, 76, of Eastover, died Sunday, April 16, 2017. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Hiller and Mary Yale Bishop. Dot was a very caring mother, wife and grandmother. She loved to fish and would help anyone she could.

Survivors include her son, George Smith, II (Jennifer) of Hopkins, SC; daughter, Kim "BoBo" Jordan (Danny) of Eastover, SC; sister, Lynn Stein (Robert); granddaughter, Ashley Miller (Brad), Spokane, WA; grandson, DJ Jordan (Lacy) of Travelers Rest, SC; granddaughter, Amanda Franklin (Cory) of Eastover, SC; great-grandchildren, Austin and Brody Franklin of Eastover, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Smith; daughters, Kelley Thompson and Peyton Smith; grandsons, Dakota Smith and Josh Pearson.

A service will be held 3 o'clock, Wednesday, April 19th at the home of Kim and Danny Jordan. The family will receive friends at the Jordan's home, from 6 until 8 o'clock on Tuesday, April 18th. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
