Dorothy Long Wiles, 89, of Columbia, died Friday, December 23, 2016. A daughter of the late Era Enlow and John Thurrell Long, she was married to the late Oswald Wiles. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, who was a loving mother and grandmother, and a talented seamstress and loved crafts.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann W. Mattox and Kay W. Timms (Henry); two granddaughters, Rhonda M. Wise (Donnie) and Jill T. Goldie (Jason); three great grandchildren, Ryan J. Wise, Jordan R. Wise and Ella Mills Goldie. Also surviving are her sister, Faye Carter (H. D.) and brother, Ray Long (Evelyn) and sister-in-law, Adair Long. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Long.

The funeral service for Mrs. Wiles will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, December 27th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, with The Reverend Dr. Tony A. Metze officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock.
