Obituary
Edgar Rosario, 65, of Marietta, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, while visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, on May 25, 1960, he was the son of retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant Pedro A. Rosario-Zayas and the late Gloria Ester (Garcia) Rosario.
Edgar attended the University of South Carolina and was a proud Gamecock throughout his life. He spent most of his professional career with Ford Motor Company, where he worked as a service manager for many years. His strong work ethic, dedication to his team, and natural ability to connect with people made him respected and well-loved.
Edgar was a loving father to his two sons, Christopher Rosario and Cale Rosario, and a proud grandfather. He found great joy in watching his children and grandchildren play baseball, often cheering from the stands with a big smile on his face.
He had a passion for the simple things that brought him happiness: cheering on his Gamecocks, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, grilling out, caring for his plants, lighting candles throughout his home, and spending quality time with his loved ones. Edgar was also a huge NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Kyle Larson. He had a deep love for music and dancing and was known for his infectious personality, sharp wit, and his ability to "cut up" and have fun with friends. His warmth, sense of humor, and easygoing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his father Pedro A. Rosario-Zayas; his sons, Christopher T. Rosario (Adrienne) and David Cale Rosario (Brea); his brothers, Jorge D. Rosario (Sandi) and Pedro L. Rosario (Cathy); his grandchildren, Rhett, Avery, Wagner, Cayden and Whitley; his significant other Leeia Graham as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were like family.
The service for Mr. Rosario will be held at 2 o'clock, Wednesday, August 27th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
