Edith Carolyn Caughman, 93, of Columbia, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Born in Blaney, SC, she was a daughter of the late George and Carrie Koon Miles. Edith worked at Bayview Baptist Church's day care and was a member of Alpine Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Rodney, Mark, Alvin, Cheryl, Jeffrey, and Debra Rabon, Lisa and Gene Dorn; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Smith; sons, Lawrence and Charles W. Rabon; and her nine siblings.

The graveside service for Mrs. Caughman will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, June 22, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Sunday evening, June 21st, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
