Edith Lois Kline, 87, of Columbia, formerly of Wayne, NJ, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Born in Scranton, PA on April 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Anna Schwartz Mrs. Kline graduated from the McDowell Institute of Art and was an artist in the fashion industry before raising her two children. She later worked for the water department in Wayne, NJ. Mrs. Kline was a member of the Tree of Life Congregation.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin Kline; sons, Peter Kline (Sheryl) of Lincoln University, PA and Richard Kline of Atlanta, GA; and two grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Kline also of Lincoln University, PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Schwartz; and sister, Minnie Gluck.

The graveside service for Mrs. Kline will be held at 3 o'clock, Thursday, June 1st at Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, 721 Blanding Street, Columbia, with Rabbi Eric Mollo officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, P.O. Box 96119, Washington, DC 20090. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
