Edith Tiller Seegars, 98, of Columbia, died Monday, May 21, 2018. Born in McBee, SC, on August 24, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Newton and Ethel Grant Tiller. She was a dedicated member of First Church of God of Columbia.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Stanley Russell Seegars and Shelly Renee Hunt; great grandchildren, Aubrie, Aliah, and Bronson Hunt; a sister, Lillian Elmore; special friends, Gene and Betty Mills; and her special adopted grandchildren, Michele Soland and Xan Fay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Blackwell Seegars; two sons, William and Raymond Seegars; one sister; and two brothers.

The Funeral service for Mrs. Seegars will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, May 23rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with the Rev. Richard J. Rusnak officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Members of her Sunday School class are invited to serve as honorary pallbearers.
