Edward Herman "Pete" Boney, 76, of Blythewood, died Friday, March 30, 2018. Born on October 20, 1941 in Blythewood, he was the son of the late Talley Edward Boney and Edna Lee Braham Boney. Pete was an avid Gamecock fan, who lived life to the fullest. A great listener and family man, he retired from Allied Chemical and was recently working with Red Knoll.

Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Joyce Tindal Boney; daughters, Tina Tindal (Alissa Collins), Sheryl Lynn Mehaffey (BJ), and Brandi Manuel (Todd); grandchildren, Cameron Mehaffey (Meghan), and Baker Manuel. Also surviving are his sisters, Joyce Marsh, Pam Boney, Rose Siron; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Pete will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, April 4th at Sandy Level Baptist Church, 408 Blythewood Road, Blythewood, with the Rev. Jamie Ballentine officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning in the church fellowship hall at 11:30 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
