Services for Mr. Edward Calhoun Jones, 79, will be held at 2 o'clock, Wednesday, January 22nd, from the Smith Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David H. Lauten officiating. A private burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.

Mr. Jones was born in Louisville, KY, on March 8, 1945, and was a son of the late James N. and Mildred Schaefer Jones. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and worked in the Insurance Industry as an Accountant. Mr. Jones was a devoted husband and father, a humble servant leader, an avid reader and learned individual and a kind-hearted helper. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ussery Jones; sons, Nick Jones (Nikki) and Wayne Jones (Lelia); daughter, Gina Elias (Dustin); 12 grandchildren; and brothers, James Jones (Wanda), Craig Jones (Louise), Michael Jones (Betty), and Richard Jones (Brenda). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Jones.
