Edwin Santana, 54, of Columbia, died Monday, December 4, 2017. Born to Cirilo and Ana Mercedes Garcia Santana, he was a graduate of Spring Valley High School and worked as a plumber. He was a friendly and caring person, who enjoyed fishing, soccer and Gamecock football.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Christian Santana; brothers, Gilbert Santana (Dorothy), Norberto Santana (Gladys); and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Efrain Santana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 o'clock, Thursday, December 7th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with The Rev. Fr. C. Alexander McDonald officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
